What is RSS?

What is RSS? RSS is short for Really Simple Syndication, and in simple terms is an electronic news feed in XML format. This means that news can be delivered directly to you, rather than you having for go looking for it.

RSS gives you the freedom to choose what content you want and to have it delivered straight to you. This makes staying informed not only easier, but also more efficent.

Requirements for RSS

In order to use RSS you will require a news reader (list further down the page). There are several different version and some browers even have one built in (i.e. Safari on MAC OS X has a built in news reader).
